Patience is a 2D Minimalist mobile game for iPhone & iPad. The objective of the game is to swing a moving pendulum upwards using the blocks attempting to get as high as possible, whilst avoiding enemies and various platforms. The game is designed to be a relaxing soothing experience. In order to play the game successfully players must swing the pendulum upwards by tapping the touchscreen at the correct time. Unlike other modern games where the objective is to be as fast as possible this game teaches the player to slow down and simply time their movement correctly. The game is being developed by a team of 5, based in Dundee Scotland. The team is made up of two programmers (Jason Mottershead and Victoria Russell) and two sound designers (Chris D’Arcy and Stephen O’donnell) and project leader Sam Watkins. The game will be exhibited at the Resonte Total Gaming Festival (SECC, Glasgow 29th - 31st July) & Dare to be Digital (Dundee, 4th - 7th August).
